You've always wanted to give it a shot — so let's do it. This is a friendly, no-pressure bootcamp designed for people who are brand new to oil painting. No experience required. A little drawing background or time in another medium is helpful, but truly, if this is your very first art class, you're in exactly the right place.

Over the course of the workshop, we'll cover everything you need to get started with confidence: how to hold your brush, how to mix colors, how to build up paint in layers, and how to create the luminous effects and expressive brushwork that make oils so irresistible. We'll move from the practical basics all the way to techniques that will make your first painting something you're genuinely proud of.
